I like to say that Bennington is one of the last true liberal arts colleges in its ideal form. Here, you'll find students from Brooklyn and LA tucking themselves away in the Green Mountains to study the intersection of Foucault, natural language processing, and dance. I wish I'd gone to Bennington.
But at least I got to serve as a consultant to the Communications Department for six months. They were short-staffed and on-boarding a new communications dean, so I bridged some gaps by writing Chronicle of Higher Education editorials with the college president, redoing the website content strategy, creating Facebook ads, and supporting the Bennington magazine editor. I also weighed in on messaging, branding, competitor analysis, campaign positioning, and strategic planning for the new era in the department.
