The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies is one of the most renowned graduate schools for internal relations in the world. They needed a website that matched that reputation.
As an independent contractor, I served as the project manager for an entire site redesign. The Director of Marketing & Communications was able to hand the full project off to me and receive weekly updates. She trusted me with planning the timeline, redesigning the IA, developing a better admissions conversion strategy, writing and migrating the full content, managing the SAIS teams in DC and Bologna, liaising with the design firm (mStoner), sourcing imagery, setting up analytics, QAing, and staying up past midnight for the last two weeks to ensure a smooth launch. The site has gone on to win awards and produce a significant increase in applications.
